Terms of service
These terms apply to Cachet, which lets an AI agent send real postal mail in France for you, and also sends the letters of the free termination letter tool. Cachet is published and sold by Antoine Labbe (taraxe.com), reachable at cachet@taraxe.com. Using Cachet means you accept these terms.
Account
You create your account by signing in with your email address when you connect your AI app (Claude, ChatGPT…). A letter sent from the termination letter tool needs no account. You are responsible for what the agents you connect do: they act on your behalf. You can disconnect an app, and ask for your account to be deleted at any time.
The service
Cachet lays out the letter you approved and has it printed, put in an envelope and posted by its printing partner, Merci Facteur, with La Poste. Three services are offered: letter, tracked letter and registered letter with proof of delivery (recommandé avec avis de réception), to recipients in France (overseas France included), up to 3 pages. A letter paid before 5 pm on a working day is normally posted the same day.
Price and payment
The price is shown before sending, on the letter's preview; it includes printing, La Poste postage and Cachet's fee, and is paid by card on Stripe's page. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French tax code (TVA non applicable, article 293 B du CGI). Paid individually, by link, a letter includes a payment fee of up to €0.30. The payment link expires after 23 hours. If the printer refuses the letter, or if it cannot be passed to the printer within 48 hours of payment, it is not sent and you are refunded automatically: to your card, or to your balance if it was paid from it.
Prepaid balance
You can ask your agent to top up a prepaid balance of €50.00 or €100.00, paid by card on Stripe's page: each letter you approve is then paid from it, without the payment fee. The balance never expires; what is left is refunded on request to cachet@taraxe.com. If the printer refuses a letter paid from the balance, or if it cannot go out within 48 hours, its price is credited back to it. For 14 days after a top-up you can also withdraw: the top-up amount, minus letters already paid from it at your request, is refunded to the card used, within 14 days of your request. Deleting your account erases the balance: ask for a refund first.
Right of withdrawal
Before paying for a letter, you expressly ask for it to be printed and posted immediately, and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the letter is posted: the service is then fully performed (article L221-28 1° of the French consumer code). This request appears on the payment page, and as a checkbox on the termination letter tool. A letter paid from the prepaid balance goes out as soon as you approve it, at your request, on the same terms. For a balance top-up, the 14-day right of withdrawal applies (see Prepaid balance): send a clear statement to cachet@taraxe.com, for example using this template: “To Antoine Labbe, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel, EI), 35 rue Laffiteau, 33800 Bordeaux, France, SIREN 537 631 426 (Cachet, taraxe.com), cachet@taraxe.com. I hereby give notice that I withdraw from the contract for the prepaid balance top-up below. Amount: € … , paid on … . Name: … . Account email: … . Date: … .”
Delivery
Transit times and delivery are up to La Poste; Cachet cannot be held responsible for a delay, a loss or a refused delivery, but passes on the tracking and the proofs of posting and receipt it gets.
Content of letters
You are the sender of the letter and solely responsible for its content. You may not send a letter in someone else's name without their consent, threats, harassment, illegal content or bulk mail. Cachet may refuse or block a letter that breaks these rules.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided "as is", with no guarantee of continuous availability. It depends on third-party services (Cloudflare, Stripe, Merci Facteur, La Poste) that can be interrupted. The publisher's liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the letter concerned. These limits apply to the extent permitted by law. They do not deprive consumers of the applicable legal guarantees, nor of their right to compensation for gross negligence or personal injury.
Data
How your data is processed is described in Cachet's privacy policy.
